What We Make
products
9FIBER® offers a variety of Engineered Organic Fibers, including both food and non-food cellulosic additives.
Our convenient dry blends come ready to use in pre-weighed, industrial containers in specified quantities. This simplifies incorporation into final products of our uniform, high-quality, hyper-clean engineered material.
9FIBER® hyper-clean and decontaminated particles and fibers provide a higher degree of whiteness than conventional hemp-derived pulp due to the removal of lignin and metals from cellular cavities; the chasms absorb parent mix into the cellulosic structure with better integrity and colorfastness.
Engineered Organic Fiber™
non-food cellulosic additives
9FIBER® created a family of Engineered Organic Fiber™ that, when incorporated into non-food applications such as blends or pulp, increases strength, stiffness, and thermal performance, making compounds suitable for structural applications while providing eco-friendly content.
Currently, conventional virgin forest cellulosic-based textiles include rayon (viscose) and lyocell fibers, which carry a chemical and environmental burden. This could be reduced with the 9FIBER® production processes.
In addition to this, consumers are increasingly concerned about synthetic fibers and the plastic contamination they produce. Consumers are seeking more natural fibers, and 9FIBER® ingredients are well-positioned to meet that need.
NINIX™
ENGINEERED ORGANIC FIBER™
Short Engineered Organic Fiber™ allows product developers to meet consumer demand for environmentally friendly
products that are highly functional yet cost-effective.
Additionally, they can help processors and OEMs to meet their sustainability objectives by reducing processing costs.
tensix™
ENGINEERED ORGANIC FIBER™
Long Engineered Organic Fiber™ can be combined with glass fiber or impact modified copolymer for materials that meet the requirements of more demanding applications.
The advantages of using Long Engineered Organic Fiber™ over glass fiber as reinforcement in polypropylene include renewable content to meet sustainability objectives, lower energy consumption during processing, and reduced tool wear.
9CELL™
ENGINEERED ORGANIC FIBER™
Our premium Long Engineered Organic Fiber™ outshines conventional hemp by providing unparalleled sustainability, improved hydrophobic properties, and repeatable certified white color. These high-performance technical fibers can compete with synthetic fibers and replace bamboo, birch, and other cellulosic additives. In development.
HYOCELL™
bioplastic additive
ENGINEERED ORGANIC FIBER™
Offered in masterbatch form for composite plastic manufacturing and ready-to-mold thermoplastic pulp for molders, HYOCELL™ Short Engineered Organic Fiber™ for plastic composites are available as cellulosic feedstock to blend with polypropylene with both high and low melt indices. In development.
lite engineered organic fiber™ (LEOF)
FAMILY OF cellulosic additiveS
We have optimized LEOF™ for food, cosmetics, and composite additives in consumer products. The key performance characteristics of LEOF™ are a material input uncompromised by contaminants, and an increase in bulk and fiber content without a major impact on flavor or color. Our materials are derived from the agricultural waste of known, unknown, or mixed cultivars.
cellulosic food additives
Cellulosic additives are a popular fiber supplement and 9FIBER’s premium production-ready hemp-derived additives can be easily incorporated into existing manufacturing processes with no need for re-tooling.
9carb™
ENGINEERED ORGANIC FIBER™
GEL PASTE
The gelling action of Short Engineered Organic Fiber™, when combined with water, provides both thickening and stabilizing qualities in the food to which it is added. Short Engineered Organic Fiber™ gel acts similarly to an emulsion, suspending ingredients within a solution and preventing water from
separating out. In development.
carbix™
ENGINEERED ORGANIC FIBER™
CREAM & SAUCE
The thickening power of Short Engineered Organic Fiber™ gel also allows for more air to be whipped into products like ice cream, or whipped topping. Short Engineered Organic Fiber™ allows the production of thick and creamy food items without the use of as much fat. In development.
